The Organisation
A registered charity, Gilgal is a 14 bed facility in Birmingham offering safe emergency accommodation and support to women and their dependent children made homeless through domestic violence/abuse.
Working in partnership with many organisations, Gilgal aims to provide the highest quality service to those living in their refuge accommodation and to increase capacity to support even more women and children. This strategy reflects the need to meet an increasing demand for refuge spaces, reducing long term impact on children and young people and incorporating the broader policy focus on early identification and prevention, bringing about changes in attitudes and response to domestic abuse.
