We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate leadership that is inclusive and transformational with the ability to take the organisation onto the next stage of its development.

Due to the nature of the work, this post is only open to applications from women.  The post is therefore covered by a Genuine Occupational Requirement (Schedule 9, Equalities Act 2010).

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week (Full Time)

Holiday: 25 days per annum, plus bank holidays.

Company Benefits: Additional company benefits including Company Pension.

Location: Birmingham

The Organisation

A registered charity, Gilgal is a 14 bed facility in Birmingham offering safe emergency accommodation and support to women and their dependent children made homeless through domestic violence/abuse.

Working in partnership with many organisations, Gilgal aims to provide the highest quality service to those living in their refuge accommodation and to increase capacity to support even more women and children. This strategy reflects the need to meet an increasing demand for refuge spaces, reducing long term impact on children and young people and incorporating the broader policy focus on early identification and prevention, bringing about changes in attitudes and response to domestic abuse.
