Specialist recruiters Sewell and Wood and Technical Network have been supporting Acorns for some time via their dress down Friday contributions and also through collections of clothing etc.
Pictured with Acorns store manager Gemma Key are Tim Sewell from Sewell & Wood along with Alex Chinea from Technical Network who has been the linchpin behind the drive to do something positive for those less fortunate.
Gemma was telling Alex and Tim stories from the hospices which truly plucked at the heart strings! Acorns continue to help so many families of children with life threatening diseases, children who are unlikely to reach adulthood.
With the Hospices costing in the region of 6 million pounds a year to run, of which only a small part comes from the Government, Acorns is reliant on the generosity of organisations large and small along with individual contributions to preserve the valuable service they provide
This is the second time the recruiters have presented collections to Acorns, which when added to the money raised from the clothing now totals in region of £2500.00.
